Shingles – Patients who are age 70, 78 & 79 as on 1st September 2016

Pneumococcal – Patients who are over 65 or in the at risk group as above and have not had one before

Patients allocated with a usual Doctor

All patients at the Wooda are registered with the practice but are allocated a usual Doctor to ensure continuity of care.  If you would like to be reminded of who your usual Doctor is, please contact the Reception team who will be happy to help you.

Dr Sara Herriott

MBChB (1987 Leeds Medical School) MRCGP (1992) GMC 3257702 After working in New Zealand and Yorkshire, my husband David and I settled in North Devon. After spending an enjoyable year training as a GP in Torrington I became a partner at the Wooda in 1993. I job share with my husband so that we can share the upbringing of our three children, Bethany, George and Daniel. I work two days a week and enjoy all aspects of General Practice. If I have time when not working I enjoy tennis, cycling, walking, travelling, and boogie boarding at Westward Ho! and gardening.

Dr David Milburn

MBChB (1987 Leeds Medical School) MRCGP (1992) GMC 3256165 I qualified as a Doctor in Leeds, and then worked in Yorkshire, New Zealand and Cornwall before settling in North Devon. I am married to Sara and we have been working together at the The Wooda Surgery since 1993. We share a room so usually work on alternate days. We have three children and as a family we enjoy various activities in the area especially being able to visit the beach all year round. I am trying to improve my tennis as it is an enjoyable way to stay fit. I am the Clinical Manager for the practice and enjoy the variety of clinical conditions that we see General Practice.

Dr Samantha Gardner

MB BS (1996) BSc (1991) DRCOG (1998) DFFP (1998) MRCGP (2007) GMC 4306542 I qualified from King’s College hospital in 1996 and since that time I have lived and worked in Devon. I am married to George who is a local GP in Barnstaple and we have three children, Molly, Emily and Toby. I have a keen interest in education, I am now a trainer of new GPs. In my spare time I enjoy walking, cycling, body boarding and gardening as well as my annual skiing trip

Dr Matthew Lee

BSc (Hons) 1991 MB ChB (Glasgow 1993) DTMH (1995) MRCP (UK) 1999 MRCGP (2005) GMC 4014610 After a career in hospital medicine culminating in the field of infectious diseases in Australia, I transferred to the North Devon general practice experience, which I love. I have a particular interest in prescribing and cardiology issues. When I am not busy with the delights and demands of my lovely family of wife and three young daughters, I enjoy sailing, canoeing, surfing and discovering new aspects of out beautiful area’s natural and cultural history in our campervan.

Dr Stewart "Reg" Perrin

MB CHB (Bristol 2006) BA Hons (Leeds 1998) DFSRH (2010) MRCGP (UK) 2011 GMC 6145619 After a French and Philosophy degree at Leeds University I spent several years living abroad, working as an English teacher and surfing as much as possible.  Eventually I decided to become a doctor and after finishing medical school in Bristol I came straight down to North Devon, where I plan to stay long term.  I qualified as a GP in 2011 and became a partner at the Wooda in January 2012.  Surfing, skiing and diving are my passions outside of work.

Dr Jessica Danielson (f)

BMedSci (Hons) BMBS MRCGP DRCOG DFSRH PGC (MedEd) GMC 7015833 Having completed my GP training, I'm delighted to be able to join the staff at the Wooda Surgery. I'm originally from Barnstaple and it's so nice to be back home again in North Devon; outside of work we are so lucky to have the beautiful countryside and miles of coastline to explore! I'm very happy to be here longterm and look forward to getting to know the community better.

Dr Danielson has a special interest in family planning and female health.

BA (2000), BM (2008), BS (2008), MRCGP (2013) GMC 6167180 As a late entrant to medicine having done a previous archaeology and history degree I have always had my sights on a career in General Practice. I am married with 3 young children and moved to North Devon in 2010 to complete my GP training.
